What would it take to break even?
Change prices, paid mix, DOROTA® use, and monthly costs to see the subscriber requirement. These results are planning scenarios, not measured unit economics.

Monthly cost target
The $226.02 starting amount is September's paid recurring or variable charges excluding the $49 DOROTA® plan. It is a cash proxy, not verified forward burn. Add payroll, restoration of failed services, support, marketing, and other obligations where relevant.

What has been spent
Monthly payments
April–June 2026 include office setup. September includes one-time marketing and annual domain renewal. Recorded cash is not an expense forecast.
Line-item categories
Office setup is shown separately above. These categories describe prior payments, not cost allocation by tier.
04 / PROGRAM-SUPPORTED TALENT
What five R&D internships represent
Five junior software engineering interns worked full time through CUNY NYC Tech Talent Pipeline Residency for approximately 12–14 weeks at no direct wage cost to MIRROR | MIRROR®. Set the hours and benchmark below to estimate what equivalent paid sandbox R&D hours could have cost.
Intern scope | Sandbox R&D only
Interns did not work on MIRROR | MIRROR®’s core digital products. At no time were they permitted to work on the mobile app or DOROTA®, both designated exclusively founder-owned development. Their work was limited to sandbox R&D experiments that would inform an R&D function to be replicated with funding.
Intern R&D experiments
- Research into Capacitor wrapper requirements.
- A proof of concept for an automated marketing pipeline.
- A pilot of BLAIR, the automated data scientist.
- Research into test automation tools.
- Testing existing 3D tools for viability with MIRROR | MIRROR®’s future on-device 2D-to-3D digital outfit rendering.
5 interns × 40 hours/week × 12–14 weeks × $20/hour.
This is a gross wage comparison, not payroll expense, cash saved, revenue, an asset valuation, or an addition to break-even costs. It excludes employer taxes, benefits, recruiting, supervision, and differences in output. The published 2026 TTPR host benchmark is 35 hours/week at a $20/hour minimum; your 40-hour description is the editable starting point. CUNY TTPR host information ↗
05 / HOW TO INTERPRET THIS
Evidence and open inputs
Recorded
The expense tracker contains 96 paid line items totaling $3,455.93 and 11 office purchases totaling $914.31. September paid cash was $422.26; $275.02 of that is marked monthly or variable. The $9.47 alpha ad spend reported elsewhere is not added here because it is not identified as a paid line item in this tracker.
Draft assumptions
Tier prices, 30% premium mix, 12.6% blended fee, $0.35 paid-member variable cost, and DOROTA® plan assumptions come from the earlier financial model. The 36 premium minutes and zero for other tiers are editable illustrations of access, not verified entitlements or observed usage.
Still needed for full company break-even
Confirm which subscriptions remain active, restore or remove failed charges, current payroll and founder pay, contractor commitments, hosting at scale, refunds and tax treatment, real tier entitlements, actual cost per conversation, and measured paid conversion, churn, and acquisition cost. This calculator shows monthly operating coverage; historical cash recovery requires a separate target and time horizon.
Sources: MIRROR | MIRROR® Expense Tracker 2025–2026 supplied Sep 29, 2026; earlier MIRROR | MIRROR® Financial Model v2.0. Figures are modeled in USD per month. Included DOROTA® minutes are applied once to total portfolio usage; overage is charged above the included allowance. Tier contributions show marginal cost per minute and do not allocate the base plan. Sole-tier counts use the same portfolio cost formula with that tier alone.
